Edward Shiffert, 78, of Warren Center, Pennsylvania passed away on January 15, 2018 at the Robert Packer Hospital following a period of declining health. Ed, as he was affectionately known as by his family and friends was born on December 26, 1939 in Allentown, Pa. Ed was a graduate of Whitehall High School and attended Williamson Trade School where he mastered the art of painting. A well-known and respected Painter he owned Ed Shiffert Painting and Paper Hanging. Ed was a member of the Warren Center Senior Citizens and a former member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, The Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club all of Lehigh County. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Ed belonged to the Zinc City and Gold Wing Road Riders. Ed was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing in Canada. He loved the beauty of country living and enjoyed sharing his home with his companion Gert. Ed will be greatly missed by his children, his daughter Jennifer (Frederick) Albert; a son Dean (Lisa) Shiffert; his long-time companion Gert Rockefeller; his special grandchildren: Elija and Brady Albert; Amy (Jeremy) Lucas; Jonathan (Hallie) Shiffert; great grandchildren Keenan, Brinkley, Lexi, Jackson and Grant. His sisters Regina Young and Margaret Shiffert. Ed was predeceased by his father Ernest Shiffert; his mother and step father: Dorothy and Ralph Remali. Abiding with his wishes cremation services will take place. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
