Charles Richard Bennett

Charles Richard Bennett, age 70, of Willow Bend Rd., Union, WV., passed away Thursday, October 9, 2008 at his home. He was born May 27, 1938 at Sayre, PA a son of Anna (Robinson) Crain of Rome, PA and the late Charles A. Bennett formerly of Windham Summit, PA. In addition to his father, Richard was preceded in death by; a brother William Bennett, a half-brother John Bennett, his step-father Clarence K. Crain, and a step-mother Mary Gillette Bennett. Richard was a pipe fitter and plumber for Union #112. His work took him to different communities in the states of Pennsylvania, New York, Oklahoma, Virginia, New Hampshire and West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Alma Bennett; two daughters, Debbie (Ted) Miller and family of Bloomsburg, PA., Audrey (Michael) Johnson and family of Peterstown, WV.; his mother Anna E. Robinson Crain of Rome, PA.; half-brothers C. Kenneth and Keith L. Crain of Rome, PA., Floyd Bennett of Warren Center, PA., Dale Bennett of Rome, PA. and a half-sister Barbara Bennett of Scranton, PA. Richard is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and seven step-children and their families. Richard has been a member of Jehovah's Witnesses sine the late 1960s. After his latest move to Union, WV., Richard became a dedicated member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall of Narrows, VA., where his memorial service was held on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 3:00 PM.
