Mark A. Rossi
March 20, 1969 - April 12, 2018
Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints. Psalm 116:15 Our hearts are truly broken by the passing of a truly special, genuinely kind-hearted and loving young man. On April 12, 2018, Mark A. Rossi, 49, of NC, was suddenly and unexpectedly called home and happily reunited with his beloved mother Margaret ‘Peg’ (Cummings) Pierce and his maternal grandparents, John J. and Frances M. (Heans) Cummings and other family members and friends. Mark is survived by his brothers: Michael (Patricia) Rossi of Allentown, PA, Joe (late Lori) Rossi, Waverly, NY, Tony (Gail) Rossi, Pantego, NC, his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and caring friends, his father Joseph Rossi, step-father, Earl (Butch) Pierce. Mark was not an ordinary man. He was incredibly special…with a unique kind spirit, a heart of gold, pure and sweet, a great sense of humor and a special way of making people laugh. The simplest gesture extended to him would guarantee the giver a mile-wide smile and a giant bear hug. Ever respectful of others, they would always be addressed with a “Yes Ma am”, “Yes Sir” or just a happy, smiling “Have a good day!” A daily reader of USA Today, and a self-proclaimed expert in the world of politics, he would readily discuss current events with anyone. Mark loved music. In his younger years he was happiest spinning records and being a DJ. Rest easy and in peace now Mark and know that your imprint on this world was felt by so many. Friends are invited to share memories of Mark with his family at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 So. Main St. Nichols, NY, on Saturday from 10 am until noon. A private family service will follow at the Rossi Family Cemetery. Share Condolences and Memories in Mark’s guestbook at sutfinfuneralchapel.com
