A life well-lived is a precious gift of hope and strength and grace from someone who has made our world a brighter, better place…..Surrounded by her family, our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother A. Marie Kipp, 94, of Warren Center, Pa went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Marie was born on December 2, 1916 at home in Milltown, PA a daughter of the late Frank A. and Addie L. (Arnold) Bush. She attended school in Sayre until the 10th grade and then went to work at the Blue Swan in Sayre. On November 8, 1939 in Sayre, Pa she married Emerson D. Kipp, together they shared forty-two wonderful years together until his passing on May 11, 1982. Always giving from her heart, Marie was a volunteer for the Girl Scouts of America and served as Lt. Officer for the Salvation Army in New York City, Kentucky and Ohio. In addition, she assisted as a missionary in Haiti and the Midwest Indian Mission in Wisconsin. She was a member of the Warren Center United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School; a member of the Warren Center Grange and was devoted to the Warren Center Community. Marie treasured her family, enjoyed cooking and often shared her homemade goodies with the elderly in the Warren Center community. A true servant of God, Marie loved to share her Bible with those at the nursing home and opened her heart and home to hunters who soon became part of her family too. Marie is survived by her children: sons and daughters-in-law: Rodney and Barb Kipp of Windsor, NY; Russell and Joan Kipp of Friendsville, Pa; Dale Kipp of Warren Center, Pa; daughters and sons-in-law: Donna and Carl Pitcher; Linda and Pastor Dale Anschuetz all of Warren Center, Pa; a sister-in-law: Lela Hite of New Albany, Pa; grandchildren: David Kipp, Richard (Julie) Kipp, Kelli (Ron) Hawk, Jeff Pike, Marcia Kipp (Gary Hallett); Mark Kipp, Chris Church, Heather (Tom) Conklin; Glenn (Dawn) Pitcher; Jeff (Teresa) Pitcher; Michelle (Jeff) Haight; Tim (DeSha) Anschuetz; Leann (Michael) Mueller; Emerson Kipp; thirty-three great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Marie was predeceased by her husband Emerson D. Kipp; brothers Francis Bush, George Bush, Robert Bush and James Bush; sisters Mary Miller, Alberta Houghtalen and Marjorie Decker. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Friday, March 18th from 1 to 3 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of Marie's life will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3pm with her son-in-law, Pastor Dale Anschuetz, officiating.
