A mother holds her child's hand for a little while and their hearts forever… Anna Mae Mariano, 89, of Brookville, Indiana and formerly of Nichols, NY went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Anna Mae was born on January 15, 1928 in Owego, one of seven children of Dominic A. and Pasqua (Stripe) Vona. For thirty years Anna Mae was a secretary for the USDA following retirement she went to work for the American Cancer Society. She was a devoted member of Blessed Trinity - St Patrick's Parish and a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Anna Mae loved life ‘on the hill' and enjoyed bowling and playing BINGO. She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-law: Gary C. and Holly Keyes of West Harrison, Indiana; her grandchildren: Aaron (Mary Jo) Keyes; Carol Anne (Todd) Smith; great grandchildren: Michael and Codey. Several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Anna Mae was predeceased by her husband Frank Mariano on December 22, 1998; her siblings: Patrick, Dominic, Jonathan, Rita, Mary and Frances. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, November 9th at 1 pm at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Owego.
