Anna P. Mills

A heart of gold stopped beating, two willing hands at rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best….Our hearts were saddened on Thursday, April 15, 2010 with the sudden passing of our loving wife and mother Anna P. Mills, 69, of West River Rd., Nichols. Anna is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years Edward E. Mills; daughter and son-in-law: DeAna Darlene and Philip Griswold of Horseheads; son Timothy Michael Mills of Nichols; Anna graciously opened her heart and shared her love with Brett Woodford, Jenn (Angel) Valle and their children Brayden and Mary Grace. She is also survived by her brother Fred Hall, Jr.; sisters Kathy Graham, Jean Neu, Anna Bacon; step brother Alan Heffron; several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. Anna was predeceased by her parents and a brother Kenneth Hall. Anna was born on July 18, 1940 in Pulteney, NY a daughter of Fred and Hazel Anna (Robinson) Hall. She was a graduate of Hamondsport High School class of 1960. On July 18, 1960 she married Edward E. Mills and together they shared many memories and opened their home and hearts to many area children. Anna enjoyed tending to her gardens, watching hummingbirds, animals and spending time outdoors. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A memorial service and celebration of Anna's life will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 2 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Saturday from 1 pm until the time of the service at 2.
