Annetta Jane Lounsbury

March 19, 1932 — October 24, 2020

Annetta "Ann" Jane Yaple Lounsbury, 88, born March 19, 1932 passed through those Pearly Gates on Saturday, October 24, 2020 and is once again dancing through the fields with her beloved husband. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, John Hartley Lounsbury, daughter in law, Julie Lounsbury, and sisters Shirley Mayer & Jean Judge. She is survived by their five children - Rebecca (William) Ryan of Texas, Clark (Susan) Lounsbury of North Carolina, John Timothy (Ann) Lounsbury of New York, Daniel Lounsbury of New York, and David (Tina) Lounsbury of New York. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Ann loved her Lord & adored her husband and family. Family to her was so much more than those related to her. The door was always open to anyone needing a hug, meal or a place to stay no matter how long that might mean. It truly was a miracle to ponder when dinner was served and there was always enough no matter the number that showed up. She loved all her children that called our house "home" and her "Mom'. She was always eager to give a helping caring hand to anyone. Mom taught all of us the importance of being family and always being there for each other. Ann was an oil & pencil artist at heart and saw a picture/story to be told everywhere she looked. She was known for her paintings on saw blades as well as her baked goods. The outdoors was her heaven with flowers, wildlife, and the surroundings breathing life into her soul. She loved music and dancing in the moment. She taught all of us the importance of completing a good day's work and always doing your best as she had always done. Her example to us all will be life lasting. Ann was one of a kind - precious, priceless, never to be forgotten and always loved. A memorial will be planned at a later time due to COVID. In lieu of flowers, Ann has requested donations be made to the Nichols United Methodist Church, 59-1 Main Street, Nichols, NY 13812.
