April Lynn Wittig

August 11, 1984 — December 6, 2022

I’d like the memory of me to be a happy one,

I’d like to leave an afterglow of smiles when my life is done.

I’d like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days.

I’d like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun. Of happy memories that I leave when my life is done

Surrounded by her family and those that meant the world to her, April Lynn Wittig, 38, of Nichols gained her heavenly wings on December 6, 2022. She was greeted in heaven by her mom, Rosemary Jean (Bennett) Wittig. April was born on August 11, 1984 in Sayre, Pa a daughter of Richard James and the late Rosemary Jean Wittig. She was a graduate of Tioga Central High School class of 2005. April had a gentle touch and lovingly cared for so many as a Certified Nurses Aid. She leaves her handprint on so many hearts and will be greatly missed by her companion and caregiver John Villegas; her five children: Mackenzie, Hunter, Allie, Lukas, and Brennan; her father Richard; siblings: James Wittig, Rebecca Wittig, Amanda Wittig, Tina (Randy) Rappleye. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.

Abiding with April’s wishes there will be a service of remembrance to be held at the convenience of the family.
