Assunta "Tina" Baer

Assunta "Tina" Baer, 85, of Reading, Pa passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Towanda Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health. Tina was born on December 2, 1923 in Reading, Pa a daughter of Michael and Mary (Adey) Viscardi. She was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church where she assisted with the Food Pantry. Tina treasured the time spent with her family and friends. She is survive by her daughter: Deb Baer Russell; a grandson Jonathan Russell both of Orwell, Pa; sister Sylvia Slater of Reading, Pa; nieces and nephews: Billy, Annie, Randy, Gordon and Dorothy. Tina was predeceased by her husband Elmer Charles Baer, Jr. in 1990; her granddaughter Katie Marie Russell in 2000; siblings Frances and Frank and a nephew Michael. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor Richard Vieldhouse, officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Springs, Pa at the convenience of the family.
