Betty J. Lefever

Betty J. Lefever, 82, of Tuttle Rd., Nichols, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 following a period of declining health. Betty is survived by her children: David (Linda) Lefever, Betty (Dean) Bieber, James Lefever, Terry (Louie) DeGroot, Adam (Sandy) Lefever, Cindy (Jack) Finch, Tom (Karin) Lefever. Sisters Shirley Wharton and Carol Blackley; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Betty was predeceased by her husband Adam H. Lefever, Sr., a grandson Adam H. Lefever III, her parents, sisters VernaMay Hutter and Viola Kashmar. Betty was born on October 10, 1927 in Washington, Pa a daughter of the late Frank and Hilda Sedora. On December 13, 1947 she married Adam L. Lefever Sr. and together they owned and operated a family dairy farm in Cadis. Betty was an avid reader and treasured the last seventeen years being surrounded by her daughter and son in law Cindy and Jack and grandchildren Rick, Dan, Shannon and Kelly, they will greatly miss her presence in their home. Family and friends are invited to a time of sharing at the home of Cindy and Jack's on Saturday, January 9th 2010 from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, card and gifts of remembrance may be directed to Cindy and Jack Finch, 345 Tuttle Rd., Nichols.
