Beverly Miller Quick, 98, of Nichols passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Elderwood Heath Care Facility in Waverly. Beverly was born on February 25, 1924 in Oswego, NY a daughter of the late Howard and Florence (Outt) Miller. She spent her youth in Elmira and attended Elmira Free Academy. Beverly graduated from Ithaca College Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Music Education; she later continued her education at Elmira College and received her Masters degree in Elementary Education. Beverly taught music education at Nichols High School before meeting Charles J. Quick. Bev and CJ were married in 1947 and together they shared more than 60 years of marriage and were blessed with four children. Beverly continued to teach the youth of our community and returned to teaching at Nichols Elementary School until 1980. Beverly was a devoted member of the Nichols Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Many will remember her for her love of music and playing for church services and weddings. She also was a former member of the Kirby Band where she served as secretary and directory for many years. Bev and CJ enjoyed traveling, spending time at their cottage and loved to play Bridge. She also enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and cooking.

Beverly will be greatly missed by her children: Cindy Smith and Ron Acerra of Nichols; Barbara Tiffany and Richard "Tiff" Tiffany of Himrod; Andrea and Mikel “Buzz” Seeley of Nichols; a daughter-in-law: Barbara Quick of Nichols; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Beverly was predeceased by her husband Charles J Quick, "CJ"; and her son Charles Howard Quick, and son- in-law Kevin Smith.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Bev’s life on Sunday, October 9th at 1 pm at the Nichols Presbyterian Church. Bev will be laid to rest in the Nichols Cemetery.
