Surrounded by her family, Blanche Emily Iannone, 91, of Church St., Barton, NY passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home. Blanche was born on March 5, 1922 in Bridgeport, CT a daughter of the late Robert and Othelia Belle (Springer) McGarry. For many years, Blanche worked at the A&P in Horseheads. She was a member of the Smithboro United Methodist Church and a long-time member of the Rebekah's and Grange. Blanche treasured her family, was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting. Blanche is survived by her children: Thomas R. Iannone of Smithboro; Blanche and Daniel West; Betty and Daniel Keck all of Horseheads; sister Mildred Jenison; sister-in-law: Myra Iannone; Grandchildren: Daniel (Tara) West; Michelle (Mark) Procopio, Brian (Angela) Keck, Stacey (Alan) Heath, Jeffrey (Lynn) Iannone, Kelly (Mark) Squires, Lisa (Dave) Comer; twenty-one great grandchildren; nephew Robert (Tracey) Iannone. Blanche was predeceased by her husband Thomas Iannone in 1980, sister Vera Heisterhagen, and first cousin Dorothy Casey Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, December 6th from 6-8 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 2 pm at the funeral chapel. Interment and prayers of committal will be in the Smithboro Cemetery.
