Bonne H. Carrington

When someone you love becomes a memory….the memory becomes a treasure ~ Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother Bonne Carrington, 91, of LeRaysville, Pa passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 following a brief period of declining health. Bonne was born on February 15, 1922 in Richmond, Utah, a daughter of the late Leon and Ethelyn (Burnham) Hendricks. On June 18, 1943 she married C. Allen Carrington and together they celebrated 70 years of marriage. Bonne was a graduate of the University of Utah where she received her degree in Dietetics. For many years, she taught at Northeast Bradford as a substitute teacher. Bonne was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Towanda. Bonne's greatest love was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting, tatting, crocheting, knitting, was an excellent baker and enjoyed traveling with Allen. Bonne is survived by her husband, C. Allen at home; her children: Ronald A. and Maureen Carrington of Andover, MA; Dennis L. and Janice Carrington of Littleton, CO; Kerry F. and Cheryl Carrington of Charlotte, NC; Colleen and Gary Stanton of West Jordan, UT; Julie and David Wall of Lake Oswego, OR; her grandchildren: Amanda Carrington, Adam Carrington, Amy (Jim) Phipps, Fred "Rick" Carrington, Natalie (Mike) Gramins, Nathan Carrington, Joel (Hillary) Stanton, Matthew (Eri) Stanton, Rachel Stanton (Alberto Liomo), Brian (Katy) Wall, Lisa (Andres) Chavez; great grandchildren: Mallory, Anne, Simon, Clover, Gideon, Mauri, Misa, and Brian. Her brother-in-law Dr. K.H. Gubler of Utah, several nieces, nephews among them a special niece Pamela (Dick) Rockwell of Syracuse, along with many friends who also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Sunday, October 6th from 2 to 5 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 7th at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 605 Ann Street, Towanda, PA. A time of sharing and luncheon will be held at the chapel building immediately following the services. Interment and prayers of committal will be in the Orwell Valley Cemetery at 1 pm.
