If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane, we'd walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again….Our loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother Brenda Lee (Painter) Wargo, 58, of Warren Center, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday morning, May 21, 2008 at home. She was born on December 4, 1949 in Towanda, Pa a daughter of the late Donald and Andrea (Carr) Painter. Brenda was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School Class of 1968. Following graduation she started her career with Memorial Hospital. Brenda was employed for 35 years with Memorial Hospital as a Laboratory Technician and later as Lab Secretary. She always carried a smile and loved to be surrounded by her family and friends. Brenda treasured the time spent with family at their pond, where she could be found relaxing in her rocking chair. She was a great collector of shoes, clothes and jewlery~which always matched her fingernails and toenails. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her community. Brenda is survived by her loving and devoted husband Robert Wargo; her daughter and son-in-law Darcy and Joe Vrabel; her son Darrin Steele; her special grandchildren: Justin and Nicholas Vrabel; Logan and Raigan Steele. Her siblings: Ronald and Linda Painter; Jan Painter; Sara and Walt Romanik; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: William and Marlene Wargo; John and Sheila Wargo; George and Vicki Wargo; her aunts: Gertrude (Leonard) Byers and Maryjane (Richard) Cease; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive. Brenda was predeceased by her parents Donald and Andrea Painter; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Elizabeth and Michael Wargo. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services and celebration of Brenda's life on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main St., Nichols with Pastor Larry Jennings and Pastor George Jatko, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will follow in the South Warren Cemetery. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held on Friday evening, May 23rd from 5-8 pm at the funeral chapel and on Saturday from 11 am until the time of the services at 1 pm.
