If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane ….we'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again~Our hearts were saddened early Tuesday morning, August 31, 2010 with the sudden and unexpectedly passing of Brian E. Woodruff, 37, of Upper Briggs Hollow Road, Nichols. Though he had a heart of gold….Brian passed away due to a sudden heart ailment. Brian was born on July 11, 1973 in Sayre, Pa a son of Estella Heeman and the late Ralph H. Woodruff. An avid fisherman, Brian also treasured the time spent with his family and friends. In addition to his mother Estella, "Mickie" Heeman of Van Etten, Brian is survived by his soulmate Tina Smith; children Gabbrielle and Justin all of Nichols; sisters: Shirley Johnston and Denny Daniels; Tanya Cron all of Athens, Pa; brothers and sisters-in-law: Ralph "Willy" and Joann Woodruff of Sayre, Pa; Ervin and Kelly Woodruff of Greenville, Pa; Robert Woodruff of Carbondale, Pa; Jeff and Rochelle Woodruff of Athens; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Brian was predeceased by his father Ralph H. Woodruff; maternal grandparents Ray Stumph and Stella Peace; paternal grandparents Ralph Heeman and Clista Grey. Funeral services and a celebration of Brian's life will be held on Saturday, September 4th, 2010 at 12 noon at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, with Pastor Diane Bentley, officiating. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Saturday from 10 am until the time of the service.
