Bruce E. Barnhart

Bruce E. Barnhart, 79, of RR 2, Windham Twp., passed away peacefully in his sleep, Saturday morning, September 11, 2010. Bruce was born on January 26, 1931 in Owego, NY a son of the late Bruce G. and Catherine Krumb Barnhart. He was a veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War. A dedicated diary farmer, Bruce and Arlene owned and operated a farm in Windham until their retirement in 1992. In addition to farming, Bruce and Arlene, enjoyed traveling and attending horse shows. Bruce is survived by his wife of 58 years, Arlene M. Snyder Barnhart; his brother and sister-in-law: Oscar and Charlotte Barnhart of Owego, sisters Charlotte Armstrong of E. Berkshire; Rosemary Baker of Marathon; sister-in-law: Alfreda Arnold; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families along many friends also survive. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Bruce G. and Catherine Barnhart and a brother Joseph Barnhart. Abiding with Bruce's wishes there will be no services.
