Candace "Candy" A. Springer

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed so very dear ~ Our loving wife, mother and grandmother Candice A. Springer, 68, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Apalachin passed away at her home with her family at her side Monday evening, August 14, 2017. "Candy" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends, was born on April 18, 1949 in Sayre, PA a daughter of the late Priscilla (Cowan) and Richard J. Park, Sr. Candy was a devoted and dedicated member of the Apalachin United Methodist Church. Where she served as President of the UMW, Trustee and Ad Council ~ in addition she also enjoyed singing in the church choir. Her presence will be greatly missed by her family and her church family. Candy is survived by her husband David L. Springer; her son John M. Parmica; daughter Heather A. Kresin, both of Binghamton; her grandchildren: Olivia A. Kresin, Brenden J.M. Kresin, Dominick J. M. Kresin, and Noah J. M. Kresin; her sisters-in-law: Sandy Park and Darlene (Maynard) Card. Several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. Candy was predeceased by her parents; a infant brother and sister; and her brother Richard J. Park, Jr. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, August 19th from 12 - 1pm at the Apalachin United Methodist Church, 303 Pennsylvania Ave., Apalachin. A memorial service and celebration of her life will follow at 1 pm.
