Carl F. Pierce, Sr.

Carl F. Pierce, Sr., passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, at the age of 87 at the home of his son and daughter-in-law. Born on March 6, 1937, in Endicott, NY, Carl was a man whose presence brought warmth and camaraderie to all who knew him.
Carl was a proud graduate of Waverly High School, class of 1955. His work ethic was evident from a young age, and he carried that through his diverse career. Carl worked for Fowler Oil Company in Vestal and later continued as a self-employed truck driver, earning the respect of his colleagues and those he served.
Family was the cornerstone of Carl's life. He is survived by his loving sons and daughters-in-law, Cliff and Nancy Pierce, and Curt and Kim Pierce. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Carla, Shawna, Crystil, Kyle, Kelsey, Cayla, Kevin, Marion, Cody, Jenson, Dakota, Colt, Josh, Joshua, and Cole. His sister Joyce Pierce Messecar, is also left with many cherished memories. Carl also leaves behind several devoted nieces and nephews and their families; as well as several great grandchildren. All will miss him dearly. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marion; his sons, Calvin and Carl “Ick”, his parents, Nellie and Ken; his brothers, Leon and Kenny “Whitey” and his sister, June.
Carl's interests reflected his love for the great outdoors. He enjoyed racing, hunting and fishing, embracing the serenity and excitement that came with each expedition. More than anything, he cherished the moments spent with his family. Carl was known to be incredibly handy, always able to fix a problem or create something wonderful with his hands.
The family will gather in the spring at the Halsey Valley Cemetery to lay Carl to rest with his beloved Marion. He was a man who valued hard work, family, and the beauty of nature, and his life was a testament to these principles.
