Cecile D. Sinclair, 93, of Donald Road, Barton and formerly of South Side Elmira passed away on Monday morning, July 25, 2011 following a period of declining health. Cecile was born on December 19, 1917 in Olive Bridge, NY a daughter of Andrew and Carrie (Wager) Davis. On April 21, 1946 she married Thomas Sinclair and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Cecile was a member of the Nichols Baptist Church. Cecile is survived by her husband Thomas; daughters and son-in-law: Nancy and Milton Kemp of Barton; Betty Sinclair of Barton; grandchildren: Thomas (Melissa) Kemp; David (Brenda) Kemp; Sarah (Heath) Bennett; great grandchildren: Kennedy and Mackenzie Hill, Natalie Kemp and Tyler Bennett; sister-in-law: Ruby Colvin of Brooklyn; nephew: Andrew(Irene) Crichton of West Chester, Pa. Cecile was predeceased by her parents; a son, Gene Sinclair; and sister Aletta Crichton. Funeral services for Cecile will be held on Thursday, July 28 at 4 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor Steven Park, officiating. Interment will follow in the Smithboro Cemetery. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm.
