Charles N. Story

Charles N. Story, 83, of Owego passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 19, 2016. He was born on February 12, 1933 in Underhill, Vermont a son of Henry W. and Elsie (Kroplin) Story. For many years, Charlie owned and operated the family farm in Barton. When not farming, he enjoyed touring the country side visiting area farmers and farms. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints in Owego where he served as an assistant in the Ward High Priest Group and was a faithful home teacher and caring friend to all. Charlie is survived by his daughter Robin Baker and fianc Don Curtis of Lockwood, his grandchildren: Zackary and Lynzy; his brother and sister-in-law: Russell and Ellen Story of Barton; sister and brother-in-law: Ruth and Sam Orme of Nichols; many nieces, nephews and their families also survive. He was predeceased by his parents, brother Frederick and sister Mary. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Thursday, June 23rd from 10 to 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service will follow at 11 am. Interment will be in the Nichols Cemetery.
