Charlotte B. Robinson, 85, of Chestnut St., Athens, PA passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 28, 2008 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law. Charlotte was born on September 30, 1922 in Newark Valley, NY a daughter of the late John and Dora (Quick) Butler. She attended elementary school in Newark Valley and was a graduate of Johnson City High School Class of 1941. On October 21, 1944, she married George L. Robinson and together they owned and operated a family farm in Windham Summit. During the 1940's Charlotte was employed by Bell Telephone Company as a phone operator. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and shopping. Charlotte was devoted to her family, although she always found time as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the Towanda Elementary School. In addition, she also served on the Northeast Bradford School Board during the 1950's. Mom, you will be forever remembered and forever missed. Charlotte is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Gayle and David Cooley, Jr of LeRaysville, Pa; daughter Shirley Robinson of Midlothian, VA; a son and daughter-in-law: Ray Sr. and Sandra Robinson of Owego; her special grandchildren: Ray Robinson, Jr; Rhaylene Cooley and her husband Tom Pardoe; Clifford Robinson; and Victoria Cooley. She was predeceased by her husband George L. Robinson on July 11, 2004 and her brother Douglas Butler in 1967. Abiding with Charlotte's wishes, there will be no services. A private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Nichols Cemetery.
