Charlotte Jane Johnston

To celebrate her new life with the Lord, Charlotte Jane (Bostwick) Johnston, CB Handle ~ Gabby, 76, of Sayre, Pa passed on to be with her heavenly Father on Friday morning, November 2, 2012. She was predeceased by her loving husband Fred W. Johnston, all her very loved brothers and sisters and step-son John Johnston. Charlotte leaves behind her loving children: Walter M. Bostwick and companion Lynelle Stranger of Sayre, Pa; Margaret and John Smith of Seminole, OK; Steven and Michelle Johnston of Sayre, Pa; Orpha Johnston and companion Mike Thomas of Sayre, Pa; Leo Johnston and companion Wendi Shepard of Owego, NY; Norman and Katherine Johnston of Sayre; Vicki and Dick Lord of Owego, NY; Fred W. and Maryann Johnston of Candor, NY; Mike and Carol Johnston of Owego, NY; daughter-in-law: Bonnie Johnston; several sisters-in-laws, numerous nieces, nephews, so very many much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charlotte was a very dedicated member of the Emory Chapel Church in Waverly. She treasured the time spent surrounded by her family. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 10 to 12 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of Charlotte's life will follow at noon with her Pastor Gary Culver, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens. Those coming to share, Charlotte would want you "to come as you are" to the services. A gathering and a dish to pass meal for family and friends will be held at 4pm at the J.E. Wheelock Fire Dept.
