When someone you love becomes a memory….the memory becomes a treasure ~ Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend Clara A. Feusner, 87, of Litchfield (Struble Road, Athens, Pa ) passed away on Friday evening, March 16, 2012 at her home. Clara was born on October 1, 1924 in Montgomery Co., Pa a daughter of William and Violet Mears. She was a graduate of Hatfield High School where she participated in Field Hockey and Basketball. She continued her education and attended E. Stroudsburg University. A devoted wife and mother, Clara enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable gardens. Although her greatest pleasure was being surrounded by her family, cooking and canning. Clara was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Towanda, a member of the Litchfield Fire Auxiliary, Litchfield Ridge Runners and a Volunteer for the Medical Corp of Lansdale. Clara is survived by her loving husband of nearly sixty-five years, Jacob "Jake" L. Feusner, Jr.; her children: Shirley (Scott) Wilson of Chalfont, Pa; Donald (Donna) Feusner; David Feusner all of Litchfield, Pa; brother Albert Mears of Horsham, Pa; sister Evelyn (Wallace) Hendricks of Harleysville, PA; grandchildren: Jessie (Michael) Friedman; Heather (Thomas) Prettyman; Kristy (David) Winnett; Megan (Andrew) Tiffany; Katie (Fred) Tiffany; great grandchildren: Brooke, Jacob, Alexis and Jacob. Her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law John and Claudia Feusner; Ernest and Jean Feusner; Ann Feusner; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families also survive. She was predeceased by her brother William Mears; sister Verna (Joe) Lindner; Harold Richard (Doris) Mears; brother-in-law: George Feusner; sisters-in-law Florence (Jim) Mairrano; Louise Mears. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Saturday, March 24th from 10 am until noon at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of Clara's life will be held following calling hours at noon, with Pastor Jira Albers of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Pastor James D. Donahoo, of the Sayre Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the South Litchfield Cemetery.
