Cory Lee Scott

Cory Lee Scott, 24, of Bridgeport, Texas and formerly of Barton, NY went to be with our Lord Tuesday, January 31, 2017. Cory was born on December 26, 1992 in Sayre, PA a son of Brian Scott and Karen (Wakeman) Benson. He was a graduate of Tioga Central High School class of 2011. Following high school Cory enlisted into the US Marines and proudly served his country. He treasured the time spent with his family, hanging with friends and summers at the lake. His smile and fierce hugs will be missed by all of us. Those left behind to cherish his memory are, his mother, Karen Benson (David Darling); his father, Brian Scott; siblings: Gregory (Teddi) Card; Adam (Kaitlynn) Card; Kenny (Samantha) Card; Katie Scott (Johnny Watkins); Samantha Pond; his maternal Grandma Fisher and Grandpa Bud; his son Cameron Scott; daughter Layci Jeffrey; the mother of his children: Cayli Jeffrey; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends also survive. Cory was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents Grandpa Wakeman, Grandma and Grandpa Scott, uncle Ward Wakeman and his cousin Tyler Houghton. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, February 10th from 4 -7 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral services and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 10 am with Pastor Pete Darling, officiating.
