Daniel L. Ayers

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home....Daniel L. Ayers, 59, of Comstock Rd., Rome Twp., passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Dan was born on August 18, 1956 in Troy, Pa a son of the late Edsall L. and C. Marie Sturzeneggar Ayers. He was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School Class of 1974 . Following high school, Dan worked for Hillfiger Refrigeration and then entered into the US Army. He enjoyed hunting, watching racing and had a keen interest in cars. Dan's gentle ways and his kind and compassionate heart will be greatly missed by his family. Dan was welcomed and greeted in heaven by his parents, whom he loved so very much, Edsall and C. Marie Ayers, his sister Sheryl, a nephew Brian Keith Comstock, and a brother-in-law Claude Coon. He will be greatly missed by his siblings: Ronald and Kathy Ayers of E. Smithfield; Stephen and Jill Ayers of Towanda; Patricia Coon of Mainesburg, Pa; Elaine and Tom Comstock of Ulster, Pa; his nieces and nephews: Debbie VanDerMark, Dale Comstock, Reed Comstock, Amy Hoke, Jamie Ayers, Stacy Slater, Ashley Ayers, Brian Ayers, Jessica Verduzco, Stephanie Larsen, Scott Coon and Meranda Abma. Many great nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 10 to 11 am a the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of his life will follow at 11 am with Pastor C. Kenneth Crain, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will follow at the Bradford County Memorial Park.
