Deborah "Deb" L. Ross

Softly in the morning, you heard a gentle call, you took the hand God offered you, and quietly left us all…..Deborah L. Ross, 54, of Crispell Lane, Rome, Pa passed away on Thursday morning, March 3, 2011. Deb, as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was born on May 17, 1956 in Sayre, PA a daughter of Irwin and Lucille (Barton) Chrispell. She was a graduate of Northeast Bradford High School class of 1974. On July 9, 1981 she married Richard E. Ross and together they raised two children, Josh and Judy. Deb was a former employee of Endicott Johnson, Owego and Endicott and most recently was employed at Harvard Manufacturing and the LeRaysville Cheese Factory. Deb and Dick were members of the Sayre Seventh Day Adventist Church. She treasured the time spent with her family, enjoyed spending time outdoors and attending car cruises with their 1974 Camaro. Deb is survived by her husband of 29 years, Richard "Dick" E. Ross; son Josh Ross and fianc Tammy Vandermark; daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Robert Nero all of Rome, Pa; her grandchildren and the light of her life: Mason Ross, Dakota and Hunter Nero; her parents: Irwin and Lucille Chrispell; brothers and sisters-in-law: Daniel and Elaine Chrispell; Timothy and Janine Chrispell; Micah and Marianne Chrispell; a sister Rebekah and James Crown all of Rome, Pa; many nieces, nephews, friends among them~very special friends Mike and Sherry Roberts. Funeral services and a celebration of Deb's life will be held on Sunday, March 6th 2011 at 2 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor Jerry Small and Pastor Preston Monterrey, officiating. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Sunday from noon until the time of the service.
