Diane I. Sherwood

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear." Diane I. Sherwood, 71, of Nichols passed away following a brief battle with Cancer on Thursday, November 25th, 2021 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Diane was born on January 24th 1950, in the town of Endicott, NY. An avid bowler, Diane enjoyed bowling and the fellowship in the Tuesday morning bowling league at Owego Bowl. She also loved the solitude of taking walks, watching movies and reading fiction mysteries, police procedurals, romance and gothic romance books. A hardworking and dedicated dairy farmer, Diane's greatest pleasure was for the love of her family. She was predeceased by her parents, Louis Felton and Elsie Johnson, her sister, Cindy Zimmer, and her step-sister Harriet Blow. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Carl Sherwood, whom she spent 55 years happily married with; her daughters, Wendy Sherwood, Leslie Davis (Paul Petryszyn), her pride and joy, her very special granddaughter Samantha Davis, her special "Hill Kids" Patrick and Craig Andreas, her siblings, Roger (Mary) Felton of NC, Jean Forbess of CA, David Felton of NY, Frank (Dodie) Sherman of Nichols, Margaret Reeves of NC, her step sister, Shirley Smith of PA, her half-brother, Louis Vermeulen of PA, and many loving nieces and nephews.
