Dolores H. Tappan

Dolores H. Tappan, 86, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Towanda Memorial Hospital, Towanda, PA; Dolores was born on May 21, 1926 a daughter of the late John D. and Helen (Bahr) Hamer of Dushore, Pa. She was a graduate of St. Basil's High School Class of 1945. Dolores worked in Elmira, NY for several years where she met her husband Watson Tappan of Lockwood, NY. They purchased The Regina Hotel on Route 17 NY where they lived for many years. Upon retirement they moved back to Barton (Smithboro) NY. Dolores enjoyed crafts and participated in a ladies group where she made many friends. Surviving are her sister Theresa Ann (TA) Stabrylla of Dushore, Pa; daughter-in-law: Linda Tappan of Austin, TX, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Abiding with her wishes, there will be no services.
