Donald L. Brown

of Orange, Mass.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Lee Brown, known affectionately by

many as Don, on February 12, 2024, a mere two days shy of his 81st birthday. Born on February 14,

1943, in Sayre, PA, Don spent his life making a profound impact on those around him, leaving an

indelible mark upon the hearts of all who knew him. He was a humble and thoughtful man, known for

his kind spirit and easy-going nature.

Donald spent much of his working life as a truck driver, a profession that perfectly suited his love for

trucks and cars. He was a dedicated employee in the transportation/trucking business until his

retirement. Beyond his work, Don was a man of simple pleasures. He cherished feeding the birds, had a

soft spot for all animals, and found peace in the quiet solitude of fishing. He also had a strong sense of

duty, as evidenced by his service in the US Army from 1961-1964. Despite the many places he lived,

including Fitchburg, Leominster, Greenville, NH, and his birthplace of Sayre, PA, Donald spent the last 3

years in Templeton, Massachusetts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Brown, and his parents, Forrest and Irene Brown. Donald is

survived by his daughters, Laurie Brown, Lisa Dembek and husband Kirk; siblings, Juantia Campbell, Roy

Brown and wife Deborah; grandchildren, Ronald and Stephanie DeVarney and great-granddaughters,

Victoria, Brianna and Hailey and several nieces and nephews.

The life and legacy of Donald Brown will forever be remembered and cherished by his family, friends,

and all those whose lives he touched.  He was laid to rest in the Bumpville - South Litchfield Cemetery.

We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos on his

memorial page at www.sutfinfuneralchapel.com
