Donald C. Warner

Donald C. Warner, 87, of Upper Briggs Hollow Road, Nichols passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008, following a period of declining health. Don was born on July 15, 1921 in the Town of Vestal, NY a son of the late Bert and Hazel (Whipple) Warner. He proudly served his country with the US Army during WWII. For many years Don was a school bus driver for the Owego Apalachin School District and the Tioga Central School District. In addition, he also was a self employed roofer. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Don is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Kevin (Donnette Gill) Warner, Richard (Dawn) Whipple; Donald (Linda) Warner; a brother: Lawrence Warner; his mother-in-law: Alberta Crandall; grandchildren: Stevie, Debby, David, Jerry, Jim, and Brooks. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Don was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Jean Warner and two brothers. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Don's life on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 1 pm at the Nichols Presbyterian Church.
