Donald E. Keener

Donald E. Keener, 76, of Owego, NY passed away on Tuesday evening, September 4, 2018 following a brief period of declining health. Don was born on February 11, 1942 in Nichols, NY a son of the late Nathan and Alice (Twilleager) Keener. Don's greatest enjoyment was watching wrestling on television. Don is survived by his wife of 41 years Bonnie Keener, his children: Thomas Keener, William Keener, Donald Keener, Jr., Diane and Donna. A brother John Keener, Sr., sisters: Helen Cornell, Beatrice Ellison and Sally Richardson; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Don was predeceased by his parents; a sister Thelma Dyer; nephews: John Keener, Jr., Jason Cornell, Dougie Cornell, and Donnie Cornell. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Monday, September 10th from 10 to 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service and celebration of his life will follow at 11 am at the funeral chapel.
