Donna E. Stewart, 65, of Potterville, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, April 10, 2008. Donna is survived by her beloved husband of 49 years, Douglas Stewart, her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Kelly Stewart, Potterville, her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Vincent Neville, Warren Center, Pamela Stewart and her long time friend and companion, Cheryl Racine, Daytona, FL, Wendy Goodwin, Potterville, Candy Murray, Orange Park, FL, Kimberly and Matthew Wilks, Warren Center. Also surviving are her 12 cherished grandchildren, Karen, Christopher, Douglas, Joshua, Justin, Kelsey, Brian, Sean, Matthew, Sarah, Katie, Macy and 3 great granddaughters, Megan, Ava and Lexie Rose, her brother Richard (Martha) Spencer, Troy, sisters, Nina (Daniel) Snodgrass, Towanda, Linda (Randy) Jennings, Potterville, mother-in-law, Dorothy Stewart, Montrose, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, William and Shirley Stewart, Shirley and Delmar O'Rourke, Wallace and Rosemary Stewart, Richard and Paulette Stewart and Doris Spencer. Donna was born on August 14, 1942 in Sayre, PA a daughter of the late Donald and Mildred (Mosier) Williams. She was also predeceased by her brother Leslie Spencer and her father-in-law, Robert Stewart. Doug and Donna were married on Jan 16, 1959 in LeRaysville. Since then, Donna has been Doug's partner on their Locust Lane Farm, assisting him in every aspect and detail of farming while she raised her family, nurtured and loved her grandchildren and baked pies and roasted turkeys for church suppers and any other fund raising events. Her grandchildren say she made the best ‘skettie' in the world and her lemon meringue and coconut pies were prize winning. Donna was a member of LeRaysville OES # 498, very active in 4-H from the time her children were small until the present, and was a show exhibitor of their Registered Holsteins and Ayrshire at the Troy and Wyoming Fairs and the Harrisburg State Show. She received many premier breeder and exhibitor awards. She was also very proud of the Suffolk and Montadale Sheep she raised. Donna will be greatly missed by her loving family and many, many friends. A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, April15, 2008 at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 So. Main St., Nichols, NY. Pastor R. Bernell Burkholder, Jr. and Brother John Histand will officiate. Interment will follow in the Darling Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1-3 and 7-9 PM at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel where Eastern Star will conduct services at 6:45 PM.
