Doris Cross

Doris Cross, 79, formerly of Smithboro, NY slipped away quietly in the home of her son David Stewart in Lapeer Mi on February 9, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents Louis and Cora Ford, husband Albert Cross and one granddaughter Amanda Stewart. Leaving behind five brothers and their spouses Dick & Evelyn Ford of Poway Ca., William & Lu Lu Ford of Williamsburg Va., Chuck & Rose Ford of Binghamton N.Y., Louie & Linda Ford of Windsor N.Y., Bob & Joy Ford of Kingsport Tenn., and a sister Yvonne Zeck of Unadilla N.Y.. Four children and spouses David & Caroline Stewart, Kathleen Stewart of Nashville Tenn., Robert Stewart of Nashville Tenn., and Diane & Richard Valle of Roanoke Va., her stepchildren who brought love and joy into her life with their spouses Albert & Joanna Cross, Allyson & Joe Purdy, Earl & Josefa Cross and Terry Cross also grand children Keri Stewart, Justin Stewart, Ashley Stewart, Adam Strait, Che Martino, Curtis Strait , Melissa Kelchner ,Ben Stewart, Sarah Stewart Costello, Tyler Stewart, Daniel Stewart, Keith Purdy, Michael Purdy, Jason Purdy, Jessica Fotusky, Connie Cross, Brian Zuehlk, Eric Zuehlk , Kristen Hartwick, Kelly Zuehlk, Stacey Zuehlk , Kevin Zuehlk and 25 great grand children. A memorial service and celebration of Doris' life will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 1 pm at the Smithboro United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Smithboro Cemetery.
