Doris J. Brown

A mother holds her children's hands for a little while and their hearts forever…..Surrounded by her family, Doris J. Brown formerly of Cheektowaga passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018. Doris was born on October 4, 1924 in Sayre, Pa a daughter of the late Milo and Della Randall. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother Doris treasured the time spent with her family. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Doris will be greatly missed by her children: Sandra Mullis, Rhonda and Robert Bartlett, Gary Slusser, and Ronnie Brown. Her grandchildren: Kim (Mark) Munto, Karl (Leslie) Gerwitz, Kelly Lowrance, Brian (Ashley) Brown, Scott (Katy) Brown, Todd Slusser, Stacy (David) BeLue, Cory (Brittany) Bartlett, Keith Bartlett; fifteen great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter; a niece Beverly Brown and her family; many nieces and nephews also survive. She was predeceased by her husband Walter C. Brown in 2003; her grandsons: Kevin Gerwitz, Toby Slusser and her feline companion Princess. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Wednesday, May 2nd 2018 from 11 to 1 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A funeral service and celebration of a life well lived for Doris will follow at 1 pm. Interment and prayers of committal will follow in the Jillson Cemetery.
