Dustin Jay Adams-Swansbrough, age 2

of Owego

With profound love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Dustin Jay Adams-Swansbrough, a precious soul whose gentle nature and loving heart left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He was born on May 26, 2021, in Johnson City, NY, to his devoted parents, Dana Allen and Lawrence Adams-Swansbrough. Dustin's journey on this earth was a brief but beautiful one, ending on May 8, 2024, at Golisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, NY, after courageously facing heart and lung issues that he battled since birth.

In his nearly three years of life, Dustin was a beacon of joy and warmth. His infectious smile and the enthusiastic hugs he generously bestowed are memories that will forever resonate with his family. He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, whether he was lending a hand to work on a truck or savoring a moment of hugs under a shade tree with his mommy.

A loving and gentle spirit, Dustin never missed an opportunity to share a kiss, a hug, or a giggle. His fondness for ice pops, shared with his mommy and sisters and his cherished tea-drinking moments with his daddy, are treasured times that spoke volumes of the bond he shared with his parents. His sisters, Ariella and Desirae, will hold a special place in their hearts for their brother.

Dustin was surrounded by love from his extended family, including his grandparents, Luke and Suannah Allen, Melissa and Dana Swansbrough, and Christine Probst; his great-grandparents, Lucille and Milton Allen, Sr., and Jessica and Larry Ballance. His aunts and uncles, Lani Probst, Laila Hartman, Miranda, Karissa, Isabella, and Annabella Adams-Swansbrough; Eion Allen, Dillon and Deana, Leslie and Sharkika, Travis and April, Trenton, Steven, and Quinton Adams-Swansbrough, were all integral parts of his world. Dustin's numerous great aunts, great uncles, and cousins will miss his presence dearly. He was welcomed into heaven by his infant twin and his great grandparents: Phyllis and Larry Adams; Eva and Ray Swansbrough, Sr.

Though his time with us was short, the impact Dustin made will last a lifetime. His legacy is one of love, an unwavering reminder of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit. We take solace in knowing that Dustin's time here was filled with happiness and love, and that he lived his life embracing every moment with a smile.
