Dylan E. Smith

Our hearts were broken on Thursday, July 22, 2021 with the passing of our son, brother, dad, nephew, cousin and friend Dylan Edward Smith, 29, of Cortland, NY and formerly of Pleasant Garden, NC. Dylan is survived by his mother, Terri Raino, father, David Smith, sister, Erin Smith, two daughters, Ava Grace and Raelynn Kay, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his step-father, Larry Raino. Dylan was an avid nature-lover who enjoyed fishing most of all. For a decade, Dylan waged a valiant and excruciating cyclical battle with addiction, and now both he and his family can be at peace. The immeasurable suffering is over, and those that knew him (the sober him), remember his sweet smile, contagious laugh, goofy personality, and precious memories. Volunteer in your community, tell someone how they have made a positive impact on your life, forgive someone who might not deserve it, make someone smile, tell those you love that you love them every chance you get.
