Earl C. Searles

Earl C. Searles, 87, of Ellis Creek Road, Barton, New York passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at his home. Earl was born on May 10, 1920 in Barton, NY a son of the late Floyd A. and Jennie M. (Shipman) Searles. He was a graduate of Waverly High School. Earl was a well known and respected auto mechanic and for many years was employed at the Sayre Motor Company. On June 27, 1942 in Lockwood he married Norma E. Williams. Earl and Norma enjoyed traveling throughout the United States but were always glad to call Barton their home. Earl is survived by his wife of 65 years Norma, his daughter and son-in-law Dawn and John Fay; his son and daughter-in-law: Dale and Babs Searls all of Barton, NY; his brother-in-law Lawrence Williams of Lockwood, a sister-in-law Nancy Eberlin of Mount Gilead, NC; grandchildren: Cory Searles, John and his wife Suzann Fay; Kevin and his wife Katie Searles, and Sheila Fay. Three great grandchildren Abigail and Devin Searles, Aidan Fay. Earl was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law: Fay and Doris Searles. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service and celebration of Earl's life on January 5, 2008 at 2 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 22 Circle Drive, Waverly with Elder Wayne Heck, officiating.
