Earl L. Bolton

Earl Lyle Bolton, 76, of Sawmill Road, LeRaysville, Pa passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 following a period of declining health at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Towanda Memorial Hospital. Earl was born on April 2, 1936 in Rome, Pa a son of the late Lena and Elmer A. Bolton. A lifelong farmer, he quit school in the 7th grade to assist his family in the operation of the farm. Earl enjoyed hunting, attending family reunions and being with his family. He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward and Mary Ann Bolton of Warren Center, Pa; Darius A. and Joyce Bolton of Ulster; Ray Bolton and Roy Bolton, with whom he operated the third generation family farm in LeRaysville, Pa; sisters Betty Yanavitch of LeRaysville, Pa; Dora Landers of Towanda, Pa and a sister-in-law: Ann Bolton of Wynne, Ark; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Earl was predeceased by his parents, Lena and Elmer Bolton; and an infant sister Reda Bolton. brothers Cleatis Bolton of Binghamton, NY; and Ralph Bolton of Germantown, Tennessee. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Monday, June 4, 2012 from 10 to 11 am at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services will follow with Pastor John Histand, officiating. Interment and prayers of committal will be in the Rushville Cemetery, with his nephews serving as pall bearers.
