Edward E. Mills

Edward E. Mills, 78, of Nichols, New York passed away on Friday, December 5th 2014 at the Elcor Health Care Facility in Horseheads. Ed was born on January 17, 1936 in Hammondsport, NY a son of the late William P. and Alma May (Appleton) Mills. On July 18, 1960 he married Anna P. Hall and together they celebrated nearly 50 years until her passing on April 15, 2010. For over thirty-five years, Ed was employed as a Manager for Grand Union, assisting in the Vestal, Horseheads, Binghamton and Owego stores. He enjoyed reading and spending time tending to his lawn. Ed will be greatly missed by his children: Timothy Mills of Nichols; DeAna (Philip) Griswold of Horseheads. Ed and Anna graciously opened their hearts and shared their love with Brett Woodford, Jenn (Angel) Valle and their children Brayden, Mary Grace and Annabella; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Fred Hall Jr; Kathy Graham, Jean Neu, Anna Bacon; Alan Heffron; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Tuesday, December 9th from 5 -7 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A time of sharing memories will follow at 7pm.
