Eileen C. Daum

When tomorrow starts without me, try to understand an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand….. Eileen C. Daum, 82, of Orwell Township, Rome, Pa passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 following a brief period of declining health. Eileen was born on April 11, 1936 in Jersey City, New Jersey a daughter of the late James and Anna (Finn) Boyle. On April 22, 1962 in Jersey City, New Jersey, Eileen married Richard E. Daum, Sr. and together they shared 51 years of marriage until his passing on May 30, 2013. For many years, Eileen was a secretary at Westinghouse in New Jersey and as a Supervisor for Serve in Towanda. In addition she also drove school bus for Northeast Bradford and Towanda school district. Eileen treasured her family and they will fondly remember for her wonderful desserts and macaroons. She loved spending time shopping, tending to her wildlife and car trips with her dog Etta. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by her family. Being a virtuous woman, Eileen attended mass at St. Peter and Paul Church in Towanda. Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean we'll miss you until we meet again. Eileen will be greatly missed by her children: Richard Daum and Terri Madigan of Rome, Pa; Missy and Andy Boardman of Rome, Pa; Robert and Kim Daum of Towanda, Pa; Nancy and Chris Thomas of Fredericksburg, VA; her special grandchildren: Kelly Hodge, Drew Boardman, Katie Boardman, Ali Daum, Alex Daum, Claire Thomas and Dylan Thomas; a sister and brother-in-law: Margaret "Margie" and Gene Lenahan; brother-in-law: George Daum; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Eileen was predeceased by her parents James and Anna Boyle; her husband Richard E. Daum, Sr., and her siblings: Anna Free, Catherine Spurrell, James Boyle, Sr. Mary Ann Boyle, and Patricia Adams.
