Eloise Newman

Eloise Newman, 92, of Coburn Hill Rd., Warren Center, Pa passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 following a period of declining health. Eloise was born on November 22, 1918 in Cadis, PA a daughter of Leon and Genevieve (Dewing) Prince. She was a graduate of Warren Center High School and Lowell's Business School. Eloise was a long time employee of S.F. Williams Ford Garage in LeRaysville where she was their bookkeeper and parts manager. She was a devoted member of the Warren Center Baptist Church, served as a Sunday School Teacher, a charter leader for Awana and for many, many years was the church organist. In addition, she also was a member of Warren Center Grange. Eloise is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Margaret and Donald Duffy of Vestal, NY; sons and daughters-in-law: L. Edward and Carolyn Newman of Jacksonville, Fla; Gary L. and Linda Newman of Little Meadows, PA; Twelve Grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, sisters and brother-in-law: Mary Demler of St. Petersburg, Fla; Ochlee and Thomas Lee of Cadis, Pa; sister-in-law: Mary Prince of Cadis; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Eloise was predeceased by her husband Leigh Newman on October 26, 1993; daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Paul Leutbecher; brother Kenneth Prince. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Friday, June 10th from 4 to 7 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. Funeral services and a celebration of a life well lived for Eloise will be celebrated on Saturday, June 11th at 11 am at the Warren Center Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Jennings, officiating. Interment will follow in the Warren Center Cemetery.
