Eric "Rick" John Ahlstrom

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it and only God knows why… Eric John Ahlstrom, 54, of Nichols passed away on January 23, 2019 in Florida. Rick as he was affectionately known by his family and friends was born on November 9, 1964 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Rick treasured his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid New England Patriots Fan and Boston Red Socks. Rick will be deeply missed by his wife Valerie Ahlstrom; his daughters: Amanda Moore; Megan Ahlstrom and Emily (Ricky Henderson) Ahlstrom. His mother and step father Loretta and William Steele; his father and step mother Peter and Fran Ahlstrom; a special friend Lisa Furey Richards; a brother Michael Ahlstrom; sisters Christine (Ted) Ahlstrom; Brenda Ahlstrom and Katrina Ahlstrom; his special grandchildren Jazzmyn, Michael, Draven, and Isis; nieces and nephews: Jessa Ahlstrom, Bryan Ahlstrom, Chelsea (James) Smith, Alisha Sackett, Kara (Matt) Vinson, Cortney Dixon and their families. Many aunts, uncles and cousins also survive. Rick was predeceased by an infant son Eric Ahlstrom, Jr., his sister Susan M. Ahlstorm-Allis and a niece Ashley Dixon. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation on Saturday, April 27 from 10 to 12 pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main Street, Nichols, NY 13812. A memorial service will follow at 12pm.
