Estella Margareta Hardford

Estella Margareta Harford, 93, of Windham Center, Pa and later of The Skilled Nursing Unit in Towanda went to be with the Lord, Friday afternoon, September 5, 2008 at the Towanda Memorial Hospital. Estella was born in Windham Center, Pa on September 22, 1914 a daughter of Earnest and Mertie (Boardman) Elsbree. Estella was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Glenn in 1960 and an infant daughter June Irene in 1954; her sisters Marie Harford and Mary Daily. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Joyce and Carl Rogers of Windham Center; a granddaughter Julie and husband Mike Mellen; and a great grandson Ryan all of Houston, TX; a sister Irene Reeve of Wyalsuing, Pa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Estella was a well-known child care giver~having cared for children in the Windham Center area for many years. Estella was dearly loved by many care-givers at the Skilled Unit where she lived in her later years and she dearly loved them in return. Abiding with her wishes, a private service for the family will be conducted by Pastor William Kohler at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 South Main St., Nichols. There will be no calling hours.
