EvaMarie "Eva"  (Isham) Brown, a radiant soul known for her loving nature and boundless kindness, passed away on December 9, 2025, at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Surrounded by her family and close friends, Eva left this world as she lived in it—enveloped in love and warmth. Born on November 18, 1954, Eva's journey was one of joy, dedication, and community spirit.

Eva's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the love of her family. She shared 41 wonderful years with her loving husband, Daniel J. Brown, and together they raised a family that was her pride and joy. Her children, Bobbi Jo VanKuren and her husband Rex, Kimberly Rogers, and Paul Westbrook and his wife Torri, were the embodiment of her nurturing spirit. Eva's special grandchildren, Emma Rose VanKuren, Braedyn Salsman, Haleigh, Abigail, Justyce, Ayiana, Payten, and Maycee Westbrook, were the twinkling stars in her sky, and her siblings, Robert and Tammy Isham, and Barbara (Rob) Krolczyk, and Tina Isham, shared in the light of her presence. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Rebecca Dwyer, along with many nieces, nephews, and their families, will hold her memory dear. Eva was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Robert and Joyce (Frellesen) Isham, her baby brother Jeffery Isham, and her in-laws, Mary and Isaac Brown, along with her brother-in-law Isaac Brown, Jr., and sister-in-law Deborah Gilliland.

A proud graduate of Tioga Central High School, class of 1972, Eva's vibrant spirit shone brightly as a member of the cheerleading squad. Her career was as diverse as it was impactful, with roles at IBM and SCI in Owego, management at TelaSpectrum, and the warm and welcoming face behind the bar at Slaterhill in Barton and Stoney's in Smithboro. Eva's retirement from CVS Warehouse was a testament to her ability to spread positivity and uplift those around her, leaving a legacy of smiles and encouragement. Her dedication to service was matched only by her love for sports, as she enjoyed participating in adult league softball, which reflected her team spirit and camaraderie. Eva found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She cherished camping and campfires at Brenchley's Lake, where they shared a site. Shopping was among Eva's favorite pastimes, yet nothing compared to the treasured moments spent with her beloved family.

Eva's dedication to her community was unparalleled. She was an active member of the Nichols Emergency Squad, and her service extended to the VFW Post 1536 in Sayre, Athens American Legion, and the VFW Post 6824 Haighs Pond. Her involvement in these organizations was not just a duty but a heartfelt commitment to the welfare of others.

Those who knew Eva will fondly remember her as the embodiment of kindness, love, and friendship. Her radiant smile and the laughter that followed her wherever she went will be dearly missed. As Helen Keller once said, "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Eva's spirit will forever be a part of those she loved and who loved her.
