Florence Pipher Schwab

Florence Rogers Pipher Schwab passed away on Friday, March 20, 2009 at Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mt. Pleasant Utah as a result of pneumonia. She was born on March 5, 1920 in Nichols, New York one of twelve children of the late Grover & Ora (Marsh) Rogers. Florence enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She loved to crochet, play cards, do crossword puzzles, read books, and just have a good time. She always enjoyed a good laugh. She was a long-time member of the Rebekah's. Florence is survived by daughter Sharon Smith of Salt Lake City, UT; sons: Neil (Laura) Pipher, Arizona; Daniel (Sharon) Pipher, Florida; Ron (Charlene) Pipher, Utah; Tom (Marsha) Pipher, South Carolina; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren; sisters: Juanita (Harold) Allis, Nichols, NY; Avis Gorsline, Berkshire, NY; a sister-in-law Cindy Rogers of Sayre, Pa; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Florence was predeceased by her husbands: Percy Pipher and John Schwab, sisters: Irene Stout, Roberta Platt, Mary Fitzgerald, Leona Bennett, Mildred Rogers; brothers: Lester Rogers, Arthur Rogers, Barney Marsh and LeRoy Rogers. Funeral services and celebration of Florence's life will be held on Thursday, March 26 2009 at 12 noon at the Nichols United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Martin, officiating. Interment will follow in the Nichols Cemetery. A period of visitation and sharing memories will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of the service at noon.
