July 25, 1935 — December 1, 2011

Surrounded by those she loves, Franceen E. (Mahler) Hill, 76, of Apalachin, went home to be with her Lord on December 1, 2011 following a valiant struggle with numerous health issues. Franceen is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, George E. Hill; her children: Susan (Daryl) Jalosky; Lynette Hill and special friend Joseph Abbott; Heather (Paul) Campbell; Daniel (Johanna) Hill; five special grandchildren: Jonathan Jalosky, Austin and Eliza Campbell; Santiago and Ana Lucia Hill; brothers Lowell (Laura) Mahler and William Mahler, Jr.; sisters: Louise (Tom) Mistretta and Ruth (Barry) Orr; brothers-in-law: George Kinney and Gerald (Monica) Hill, many beloved nieces and nephews as well as special cousins. Franceen was born on July 25, 1935 in Marion, NY the daughter of Rev. William A. Mahler and Margaret P. (Joiner) Mahler. She was a devoted member of the Owego Church of the Nazarene; a former and charter member of the Apalachin Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. She was absolutely devoted to the Lord and served many years in numerous church ministries, with a particular passion for Ministries to children and women. Franceen shared her love of the Lord and showed the example of the grace that only He can give. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and treasured the time spent with each one of us. Her trademark smile and caring ways will live on within our hearts. As her family we are deeply indebted to her committed prayer life for us and countless others. We will carry our fond memories of many joyous occasions, our vacations together, playing games and celebrating our love of the Lord. Funeral services and a time of remembering the special gift Franceen was to us will be held on Tuesday, December 6th at 11 am at the Owego Church of the Nazarene, 3732 Waverly Rd., Owego with Rev. William Carr, Dr. James Daniel, and Dr. Dennis King, officiating. Interment will follow in the Smithboro Cemetery. A period of visitation and time of sharing memories will be held on Monday, December 5th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the church and on Tuesday from 10 until the time of the service at the church.
