Frank James Wheeler

Frank James Wheeler, 62, of RR 3, Rome, Pa passed away following a period of declining health Sunday morning, January 31, 2010 at the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Towanda Memorial Hospital. Jim, as he was affectionately known and remembered by his family and friends was born on May 27, 1947 in Bath, NY a son of the late Frank and Hilda (Ellis) Wheeler. Jim was employed at the Endicott Shoe Factory and the Georgia Boot Company as a fork lift operator. He enjoyed golfing, and spending time attending to his lawn and garden. Jim will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 22 years, Antoinette "Toni" Wheeler, his son and daughter-in-law: Jeff and Theresa Wheeler of Windham, Pa; grandson Kevin Wheeler; brother and sister-in-law: Roger and Pam Wheeler of Mt. Olive, NC; sisters and brothers-in-law: Sandra and Ronald Schnoover of Wysox, Pa; Bonnie and Chuck Holbert of N. Carolina; several nieces, nephews and their families also survive. Jim was predeceased by his parents Frank and Hilda Ellis, a sister Linda J. Drew and brother Duane Ellis. A private family service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols with Pastor James D. Donahoo of the Sayre Christian Church, officiating.
