Garrett Patrick Russell, 32, passed away suddenly on March 18, 2025. Born on April 5, 1992 to Patrick Russell and Joy Parker Russell, Garrett’s zest for life and infectious humor touched all who knew him. His ability to light up a room with laughter will be profoundly missed by his extensive circle of friends and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him.

In addition to his parents, Garrett leaves behind his beloved son, Brooks Patrick Russell, his siblings Duke (Autumn) Russell and Ariel Russell, his nieces Rhylee and Irelynn Russell, his step mother Bridget Worthington, grandmother Nancy Bourgeois, step grandfather Roger Flasphaler, and step grandmother Sandra Parker. He will be missed by his aunts and uncles Doug and Shawn Russell and Sandra Lockwood, along with several cousins and extended family.

Garrett was reunited with his paternal grandparents Shirley and Preston Russell, and his maternal grandfather Vance Parker, along with numerous friends.

Garrett was a very accomplished wrestler from his little cats all the way through high school. He even occasionally returned to coach the next generation. He also enjoyed other sports such as football, soccer, baseball, and track a field. Garrett would work meticulously to master his many hobbies such as disc golf, whip making, and shooting pool. Sports, fast cars, fast bikes, friends, and family are all the things he cherished.

Friends and Family are invited to a service celebrating Garrett’s life on Sunday March 23, 2025 at Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main Street, Nichols, NY at 1:00p.m. with Pastor Larry Jennings officiating. A period of visitation will take place from 11:00 until the time of service. Garrett will be laid to rest next to his grandparents at Stevens Cemetery.
