Genevieve O. Pendleton

Genevieve O. Pendleton, 87, of Chemung View Apartments, Athens and formerly of Warren Center, Pa passed away peacefully on Friday evening, September 14, 2007 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre. She was born on January 4 1920 in Elmira, NY a daughter of the late John and Maye (Turk) Ostrander. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sayre. Genevieve was an avid reader, enjoyed attending Friday Bible Study at the Chemung View Apartments. A thoughtful and caring lady, Genevieve was known by many as an "adopted" mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Genevieve is survived by her sister-in-law: Jeanette Pendleton of Warren Center, Pa; several nieces, nephews and their families, many friends at Chemung View Apartments among them special friends and caregivers Mary Walker and Ned Vinson. Genevieve was predeceased by her first husband Albert Wheaton and second husband Arthur Pendleton; a brother Turk Ostrander and sister Louise Judge. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services and celebration of Genevieve's life on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 11 am at the Warren Center Baptist Church, Warren Center, Pa. Interment will follow in the Warren Center Cemetery. A period of visitation and sharing will be held at the church from 10 am until the time of the service.
