Genevra Mae Mack

A mother holds her child's hand for a little while and their hearts forever…….surrounded by her family and those she so dearly loved, Genevra Mae Mack, 90 of Heath Road, Waverly, NY went home to be with her Lord and was reunited with her husband Alfred William Mack, Jr. Genevra was born on December 19, 1922 in Elmira, NY a daughter of the late Ted and Zeta (Brenchley) McNaney. She was a member of the North Barton Grange and attended the Waverly United Methodist Church. Jeannie was devoted to her family and treasured the time spent with them. Fond memories of her cooking and her giving ways will be remembered by her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Jeannie enjoyed crocheting, knitting and was an outstanding seamstress. Jeannie was predeceased by her husband Alfred William Mack, Jr. in 1982; her son Lewis Mack in 1983; a daughter Deborah Sandroni in 2010; George McNaney, twin brother ~ she will be greatly missed by her children: Pamela (Joe) Kittle of Nichols; Steven Mack of Waverly; Lori Mack of Waverly, Gary (Corky) Mack of Waverly; her special grandchildren: Pamela (Henry) Franks; Lisa (Randy) Cridge; Annette (Jeff) Creedon, Kelley (Dave) Dean, Shannon (John) VanSkiver; Lewis (Yvonne) Mack, Alfred (Marie) Mack; Susan Bostwick, Robert (Beth) Bostwick, Justin Mack and Benjamin Mack, Jaime Coleman, Rachel Rabb, Jennie Mack; 24 great grandchildren and 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Jeannie will also be remembered by her best friend Barbara Pearce with whom she enjoyed going to Reese's for coffee. Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Sunday, July 7th from 12-1pm at the Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols. A memorial service and celebration of a life well lived for Genevra will be held on Sunday at 1 pm with Pastor Anne Bey Canfield of the Waverly United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Glenwood Cemetery, Waverly.
